I have a question: Wrangler Icon 11WWZ WOMEN'S Jeans in Rigid New Wash size W31 x 32 with what waist and hips measurement fits (measure the waist and hips of jeans in inches while lying on the table).

The measurement of the hip area is 20 inches wide.
The measurement of the waist is 16 inches.

do these taper at the waist? I have a small waist and large hips so jeans usually gap in the back. Would that be the case with this fit?

These jeans have 3% stretch, so they're fairly accommodating for curvy figures. They do taper at the waist. Size 27 for example measures a true 27" (stretches to about 30") at the waist, and 36" at the hip (stretches to about 40").
You might also be interested in the Wedgie--we have a couple similar lighter washes in stock. This jean was developed to accentuate the booty, so there's a good amount of curve in the hip/waist. Check out these two:

Wrangler does not produce this size. For a similar fabric and fit you might try Levi's 501 Skinny in Horizons. It is available in size 34x28, but I would have to special order that size for you. Feel free to contact us directly at the shop.
