The detachable, fully openable hood recreates the optional hood offered with the CWU-45/P in the 1980s, with modern updates like nylon spindles for a contemporary touch. The lining is quilted with padding for warmth, and the sleeves feature adjustable tabs. Interior front pockets include ALPHA Industries tags, while original mil-spec Velcro patches can be attached to both arms or the inner pocket. Additional mil-spec details are placed on the hood tab and back. The design incorporates a generously wide body and an elasticized waist with strong tension, creating a rounded silhouette inspired by the CWU-106/P.
