At first glance this looks like your usual black x black denim, but it will later reveal itself to actually be made up of two colors. A special #6 slub yarn is used, while the warp yarns undergo a 3-layer dyeing technique in which a black sulfide dye is applied after the indigo rope dyeing is completed. Over time, the black wears off to reveal the indigo, which then wears off to reveal the natural white core as would happen in normal jeans. This, combined with a black weft that will fade to grey, is a surefire recipe for rich, evolving fades. The selvedge line is Samurai Jeans' signature silver lam, recalling the edge of a samurai's blade. The Aoki Tachikage series, inspired by the image of a samurai sword flashing in the darkness, is a 510 regular straight made of 15oz black-on-blue denim. Blue painted buttons, family-crest-patterned slacks, and stitching with navy threads are all unique to this model and are designed to complement the denim itself. Type: Men's denim.
