Simplicity makes a powerful statement when it’s in the hands of this Seattle-based jewelry designer. Faris Du Graf debuted her namesake collectsion in 2012 while working for a design firm in Oakland. It wasn’t long before she decamped to her hometown in the Pacific Northwest to put her degree in architecture to the test with jewelry full time. Sleek, sculptural shapes are inspired by the things Faris is inspired by in her day to day life: from nature and city life, to hip hop and pop culture. Each collectsion is minimalist and timeless with handmade details that give each piece a distinctive personality. Although the designer favors brass for its workability and aesthetic, she also loves to use unexpected materials that she finds on her travels, such as vinyl record shards and vintage Czech glass.
