The Starry Night Dress has a structured top with double-layered fabric and string ties below the back shoulders and around the waist for an adjustable, tailored fit. It features hand-embroidered glass beads throughout, showcasing motifs developed by BHEN's studio team and inspired by archival designs from the Viana do Castelo region. Glass bead embroidery is a traditional element of folklore costumes from northern Portugal and is commonly used in the region's bridal attire. Below the bodice is a low-waisted voluminous skirt tier accented with adjustable side ties all around the garment, creating a two-piece illusion within a one-piece work of art. Measurements (laying flat, untied): Size Small: Bust 30", Waist 25", Hip 32", Top Length 21", Skirt Length 21"3/4, Total Length 42"1/4 Gillian is 5'8" and a size small, and wears size small.
