Sticky Glass is a New York-based design company developed by Grace Whiteside, specializing in multi-functional, performative, and collaborative glasswork. All glass pieces are hand-blown and often made to order in Brooklyn, NY by LGBTQIA, POC, and women artisans. When glass is in its molten state, it has the consistency of honey and becomes sticky when in contact with itself or other materials. This property allows for endless experimentation in form construction, as glass can act as both a base structure and its own adhesive. Whitesides designs explore these possibilities through form and function, allowing the glass to perform acts of fluidity, softness, and tackiness.
