Altar was created by Amy Fox and Cassie Ridgeway as an alternative fashion boutique inspired by the natural world and spirit of the Northwest. With their physical shop inside of a historic, converted house, the Portland store curates an array of handmade womenswear, accessories, apothecary, and jewelry from designers that emphasize high quality for pieces that will last a lifetime.

Altar is a clothing company and retail store with a brick-and-mortar location in Portland, OR. We initially opened a business in 2010 (under another name in the same retail location) with a focus on supporting independent artists from our immediate region, and by 2015 when we became Altar, we had grown that vision into the beautifully curated and ever-changing space it is today.
