This textile was woven by an artisan from the lakeside village of Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala, using a time honored traditional method of weaving called the back-strap loom. This pillow features an intricate Guatemalan tie dye technique jasp. This particular jasp design is specific to Santiago Atitlan.
