Founder Yi-Mei Truxes was inspired by the effortless look of a linen-clad woman crossing the cobblestone streets in New York, carrying the perfect woven tote. From that moment on, Yi-Mei has made it her mission to create a line of artisanal bags for timeless women everywhere. 10% of all Bembien purchases are donated back to the local community of Bali, where the bags are handwoven.
