Hello! Thanks for your message! I just measured the dress and unfortunately the finished hip is about 38.5". so I think it probably won't work. Some of these previously-owned items we have listed have shrunk quite a bit in the wash, so I think that's why. You would probably fit an 8 in many of our other styles :) My apologies! Hayley :)
