The sister duo behind Building Block joined forces in 2011 after feeling the need to escape their respective design silos. Kimberly Wu was designing cars in Tokyo and Nancy was designing for Nike before they moved to Los Angeles to start their own line of minimalist accessories. Their simple, geometric bags feature unexpected elements like rubber tubings, wooden balls and brass rods for distinctive styles that are quirky, yet totally timeless.
