HI this belt will work with jeans, in that it will fit in them and look nice. If the jeans are too large and you need a good hold to keep them up. this would not be the right belt for that use. It's more of a visual pretty belt that is great over a dress or in jeans (that fit well already or need just a slight hold)! Hope this helps! Thank you
