Each fabric is one of a kind and each dress is handmade - Washed 100% cotton Batiki fabric sourced from the women who handprint and handdye fabric in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania - Handmade in small batches - Loose-fitting - 2 functional pockets - Machine washable (cold), with like colors Measurements are approximate- length shoulder to hem- 40 pit to pit 23 Fahari Bazaar clothing is designed with comfort, functionality and style in mind. We believe that clothing should have enough room for movement--walking, running, and stretching. But most important to us, is that these clothing allows for self expression and style. The fabrics we use are 100% cotton Kitenge, Kanga or Batiki fabrics sourced from women vendors at the Kitumbini fabric market in Dar es Salaam. We have most of our clothing made in Tanzania, and a small batch is made in Chatham, New York. Having our clothes made in Tanzania creates high paying jobs for skilled tailors in a country where this occupation is often undervalued.
