She is pictured here with her son Ti Jean Petro. Original artwork by Georges Valris. Approaching his work as a textured painting, each section of each piece uses a different beading technique to denote depth, movement, and grain. Haitian artist Georges Valris expands upon many hundreds of years of traditional practices to formulate his beautifully adorned, highly distinctive mixed media artworks. Known for his hand-beaded, highly embellished works, Valris is inspired by the rich and expansive history of Haiti as well as by his upbringing in the Vodou religion. Measures 24" x 36".
