This self-taught Portland designer creates handmade, wearable works of art. Kate Towers began her foray into fashion in 2000 when she opened a specialty boutique called seaplane, featuring local designers and handmade, artisanal wares. The shop was open until 2007 and it was there that Kate first created her own clothing line. Each collectsion is designed to be seasonless allowing each piece to become a seamless part of her customers' wardrobes.
