Through extensive exploration of advanced garment construction techniques, Issey Miyake developed a patented technique called Finished Pleating that remains the foundation of Pleats Please. Reversing the conventional pleating process, garments are first cut and sewn and then pleated, making for highly adaptable and easy-to-wear pieces. Due to the garment pleating technique, which provides great stretch and comfort, there is only a minor change in garment width between sizes, so you should select your size based on length only.
