SMBL-019 14oz Relax Taper denim - Smokey Blue

Pure Blue Japan's 14oz Smokey Blue Japanese Selvedge Denim offers a dull, pale blue, a colour very reminiscent of vintage American jeans from the 1970s. This custom denim from PBJ features a combination of indigo and sulphide dyes in the warp, creating this unique shade of greyish-blue that we expect to fade out very nicely into a vintage hue. The texture of this denim is quite comparable to PBJ's fan-favourite 14oz "XX" denim, offering a subtle yet slubby texture that should become more prominent with wears and washes, and matches the vintage nature of the dye with a texture very reminiscent of denims from the 70s. These jeans are cut in Pure Blue Japan's "019" Relaxed Tapered fit, which has become renowned across the raw denim subculture for simply being one of the best overall fits available from any brand. This cut features a deep rise and a moderately generous thigh, which then tapers down from the knee to the hem for a cleaner silhouette.
