Hello, Thanks for your message. The measurements on my site came directly from Rogue Territory. Without the measurements of your Jcrew jeans, I can't compare the fits. Even then, it would not be a useful comparison. However, we do recommend sizing down one for RGT jeans because they run big. To see how they fade, check out #rgtslubfaders on Instagram. There is no stretch material (elastane, lyrca, etc.) in these jeans. Like all raw denim, they will stretch out in the waist as you break them in. That's why it's better to have a snug fit to start. The beauty of raw denim is that you customize it to your shape as you wear it. I hope this information helps. Thanks again. Tommy
