The sterling silver pieces used in this necklace were carved in wax, cast in Sterling silver, and polished to have the perfect amount of shine. Four pieces are then woven together with nylon thread to make the pendant, measuring 1.5 inches wide and 1 inch tall when finished. The metal is solid sterling silver, so the pendant has a nice weight to it. On a leather cord measuring 28 inches long and adjustable with a bead at the back. Finished with handmade tassels.

I'm trying to understand the length. If I want an 18" necklace, does that mean I have to adjust the bead so that there is 5" of cord hanging down my back?
