It's also durable enough to be used as a catchall for jewelry, coins, or keys. DETAILS: 6.6 x 1.5 in | Handcrafted from fine Amakusa porcelain | Made in Hasami, Japan Born in a small studio in Bundjalung country, Australia, Softedge is one of Laya Creurs' explorations of 'softness', the guiding principle behind all her work, which spans architecture, curation, and design. In early 2023, facing ongoing material shortages and manufacturing bottlenecks, the studio paused its in-house production in search of a more sustainable model that would improve the craftsmanship of the products. The journey eventually landed in Kyushu, the heartland of Japanese porcelain. The end result is a smooth, lustrous, and thoughtfully designed dish, with function in mind, as these easily stack, and are microwave and dishwasher-safe.
