Hi! We have several ways you can wear it. Some people tie the strings around their head / neck. Others tie them behind their ears and let the remainder of the string hang. We personally tie them around our ears and then tie another knot at the ends so that the mask can hang from our neck when not needed. Lastly, some customers who don't put the filter in actually tuck the strings into the filter slots. Hope this helps!
