Created in the historic West Bank city of Hebron, this votive holder comes with a small amount of sand from the Holy Land. Hebron is well-known for its traditional glass-blowing, and skilled glassmakers create these distinctively beautiful Phoenician glass pieces using recycled bottles and a family secret to create unique swirls and colors. Each piece has its own blend of color and pattern. The Phoenician glass technique requires special skill and care and was historically reserved for wedding gifts. The Natsheh family of glass-blowers has helped revive this nearly forgotten craft. Established in 1890, Hebron Glass is a family business that now exports traditional glassware and ceramics.
