Twenty One Tonnes Tuareg Mat - Stripe

Produced by nomadic Tuareg tribes that inhabit Saharan North Africa, Tuareg mats are handmade with reed and decorated with leather. These rare vintage mats were traditionally used as tent or floor coverings, and often feature earth tones and geometric patterns. This large mat features alternating bold and thin stripes, and is uniquely bordered by a row of triangles at each end. Due to the handmade and vintage nature of this mat please expect some wear and imperfections, including one particularly charming woven leather repair job (see images for details). 230 cm x 440 cm | 7' 6" x 14' 5"
