Pleated Drape Skirt

Developed through draping, this skirt has an A-line silhouette and asymmetric hem. Featuring a statement pleat at the front and back, this skirt is a minimal and sleek piece that drapes effortlessly on the body. An invisible zipper closure at the side adds a subdued finishing to the skirt. The original shape feels like a wearable piece of origami. Made in a Japanese cotton hemp, this fabric is pre-washed and sundried in small batches, utilizing the natural elements of the Enshu and Hamamatsu regions. The result is a unique papery texture and lived-in look that will enhance with wear. 80% cotton, 20% hemp. Offered in a lightweight cotton silk, the material has a soft drape and subtle stripe pattern. The stripe emphasizes the drape of the pleat, creating a natural grain to the piece. 70% cotton, 30% silk. Designed, cut and sewn in Toronto.
