Sure it was all hearts and pink and purple, but we've been longing for the inclusivity of the holiday from our pre-puberty days lately. So we enlisted two of our favorite people (Mike Madrid and Gabriel García Galán from Cup of Couple) who just happen to be in a relationship to curate a Velentine's Day gift guide that is perfectly unisex and perfectly inclusive so you can find a gift to show your appreciation for the people you love, no matter the relationship status or label. Give a blanket to that friend who always has issues with the heat in their apartment. Or a pair of slip-on Vans to your girlfriend who is in dire need of a more stylish commuting shoe. TELL OUR READERS ALL ABOUT YOU. We’re both born in the south of Spain, and we both knew we wanted to be involved in fashion, photography and the creative world a long time ago. We met in 2010 and we made our dream come true.
HOW DID YOU GUYS MEET? We meet on facdbook. We began to talk one day, then we met for a coffee, and we’ve been together since that moment!
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE? Simple and minimal. Less is sometimes more.
ANY ADVICE FOR COUPLES THAT WORK TOGETHER? Yes, it's really important to respect each other, and each other’s ideas as well. Another important thing is to know how to separate work and relationship life, people that work together should never bring work problems home.
DO YOU CELEBRATE VALENTINE’S DAY? We actually think that love is something you should show to your partner everyday, but yeah, we like to give something little, a gift to celebrate it in a special way.
DESCRIBE YOUR IDEAL ROMANTIC GESTURE OR SCENARIO. We both think that a really beautiful way to show love is, for example, to give a trip as a present. We love to travel. Last year we went to Tokyo for Mike's birthday, and it was a present from Gabi.
WHAT DOES A USUAL DATE NIGHT LOOK LIKE FOR YOU GUYS? We like to go out and have a glass of wine, and after that we always think to come back home to have dinner,but we always end up eating out at the restaurant.
DREAM DOUBLE DATE? Maybe with Kenzo creative directors, we know them and we would like to have dinner with them and talk about ideas and creativity.
