Team Replica Belts has made a New Year's resolution to only buy clothes from humans this year, but we wanted to set personal fashion resolutions as well. Read who we want to dress like, how we want to be more intentional, and what we want to accomplish with fashion this year.

Setareh: My style resolution is to purchase pieces that I absolutely love, similar to the Marie Kondo approach—holding that clothing and feeling any emotions (but maybe a little less extreme). If I'm still thinking about it after some time has passed, then it's true love! I also want to try to buy pieces that are simple and can be mixed and matched. This way I don't need to buy too many pieces of clothing and keep things minimal.
Erin: My resolution is to buy with intention—investing in staple closet pieces (the classic white button-down, the perfect pair of leather loafers, etc.) that will stand the test of time. Another resolution, finding new vintage and thrift stores local to the Seattle area for more eclectic and conversation-starting pieces.

Camille: I want to dress like Mick Jagger and an elegant eccentric art gallerist combined.
Olivia: This year my fashion resolution is to purchase clothing more intentionally. Everything I buy needs to fit three requirements: 1. Is it a need? Is this piece of clothing something I want or something that actually fills a void in my closet? 2. If I do need it, can I buy it second-hand or vintage? There are vintage shops in my neighborhood and amazing boutiques that carry vintage on Replica Belts that make it easy and accessible to buy second-hand. 3. If I can't buy what I'm looking for second-hand, buy it from a designer or boutique that I love. Shop from brands that I have a connection with, or build a connection with the designer or owner of a brand I want to buy from. I want shopping to be more community driven and personal this year!

Joanna: My style resolution is to always do my hair. That doesn’t mean I need to use heat everyday, or constantly be washing it (that ain’t good for you) but taking those extra few minutes to feel confident about how my hair looks like before going out. Whether it's just adding a headband, a few cute clips, etc., those few minutes are well worth it! I also want to apply that idea to the rest of my style. Stop, breathe, take a few minutes to feel put together. Enough with just rushing out the door and then feeling half good the rest of the day—I’ll be adding one more accessory, saying no to that comfy hoodie, or opting for a classy coat rather than just the quickest thing to throw on.
Sunil: Over the last few years I had been emulating (or attempting to) a Jobsian look with basics mostly in black and blues—and it has run its course. In 2020, I plan to try on more "substantial" pieces, perhaps venturing into patterns and bolder colors. We will see.
Aw yeah!
