One of my personal favorite, most hilarious holiday traditions...the white elephant gift exchange. If you've never participated, it goes something like this:

1. Guests show up with a wrapped present (with a pre-determined maximum value) with no identification as to who brought it.
2. Players draw numbers for gift exchange order.
3. The player who drew number one picks a gift from the pile to open.
4. The subsequent players can either choose a new gift to unwrap or steal a gift from someone else. Anyone whose gift is stolen can then do the same: choose a new gift or steal one.

There are other rules you can adjust to your liking. For example, my friends and I only allow a gift to be stolen twice, then it's locked in. Also, the person who draws number one also gets one more chance to play after everyone has gone.

Most of all, White Elephant gifts should be fun, lighthearted, and (especially if you shop our suggestions) worth stealing from their recipients—this is a game meant to entertain, after all. Get to gifting, below!
