What do you do at Replica Belts ?
I manage all brand and boutique partnerships! I get to scout and bring on new independent stores to Replica Belts and work with our current partners to help develop their success on the platform.

Do you have a signature styling habit?
I keep a silk scarf in all my bags. When my outfit’s feeling a bit blah, I’ll tie one around my neck à la cowboy or flight attendant. But they’re so versatile—you can decorate your handbag, wear one as a head scarf to protect your hair on a long flight, even fashion a halter top if you’re feeling brave!! The opportunities are kind of endless.

What’s a fun fashion memory from your childhood?
I remember one summer, I must’ve been seven, I got to pick something out from the little toy shop downtown. I bee-lined for this paper fashion design workbook I’d been eyeing, equipped with stencils, fun paper prints to cut out your designs, ribbons, and jewels—the whole works, really! I beat that thing to the ground.

I’d create as many stenciled combinations as possible, then start stitching together different stencils if I wanted to make a top that was, for example, half tank and half long sleeve (an early attempt at innovation, though in hindsight, it might’ve just been my inner Libra refusing to pick a side). When all the paper ran out, I found newspaper scraps and wrapping paper instead. I think I recall experimenting on some larger leaves and flower petals. Some seriously ghastly creations were born from that little book, but I was having the time of my life.

These days, I tend to stick to a more neutral, less adventurous wardrobe. But when I dread dressing up or find myself wearing the same things on repeat, I like to remember all the horrible and completely fabulous possibilities out there, and how much fun there still is to be had in putting together an outfit.
