I subscribe to the wrong shoe theory, meaning that outfits are more interesting when you choose a shoe that’s traditionally “wrong.” Think: kitten heels with athletic shorts, loafers with a lace dress, dad sneakers with tailored trousers.

I simply don’t believe any color combinations should be forbidden. Black and navy? So chic. Black and brown? Obsessed. Throw the rulebook out the window and lean into what feels good.
