There’s nothing quite like a summer in France—and Sophie Zembra, founder of fashion brand Antidote, would know better than anyone. Born in Provence, Sophie’s latest effortlessly chic collectsion is inspired by the charming, wistful town of Deauville on the country’s northern coast. Think colorful jelly sandals, fuzzy berets, and market totes. Here, she shares all her favorite stops and sights for the perfect French Girl summer.
Deauville inspired my last collectsion "Les Planches." This city has seen so many celebrities walking on the boardwalk, called Les Planches. There’s a nostalgic and old-fashioned feel here that I love. I discovered the world of horse racing (the casino as an important space for the city) and, more than anything, I love the colorful umbrellas all around the beach.

I've studied and visited Paris for 10 years. Paris is beautiful in every corner. I always stop a few days there to reconnect to the very special Parisian vibes. When I have time, I love walking in the city, having a coffee at a terrasse and people watching, and seeing a movie in one of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés theaters. I'm not so much into fancy and new restaurants—I like small restaurants/bistros with good friends.
